Can I write lies in my CV?

I mean they need a 3-year secretary experience while I've actualy worked only for 1 year. But I apply in Italy and I am and worked in Ukraine, so I guess nobody will check. how do you think? Is it in general acceptable doing this? Has anyone of you ever done such a thing?

Thank you for your answers!

Maria

Answer on Can I write lies in my CV?

A good interviewer can spot a lie three miles away. So lies are a bad deal. Best thing to do here: relate your former tasks to the tasks required for that job you are looking for. I've known a one year experienced person to win a job over a 2 or 3 year experienced person. Why? They fit the mold.

Pictures should be professional; secretary jobs require a certain look; that look carries that personality(for the mold.)

Please help! European questions?!?

I was going to visit Rome, Italy in four weeks and wanted to know what to expect, would I get a lot of bad stares or smiles? Would people look down on me? At the end of the four weeks I was going to take two more trips, one to India and one to France. Would I need to bring any certain type of clothing or necessities? And finally I was going to study in Finland. I've heard that people of both Poland and Finland aren't very tolerant of newcomers or people who look black. I was raised in the UK for eleven years and I'm Palestinian and Panamanian, so how would they treat me knowing that? Thanks for the help

Answer on Please help! European questions?!?

Hi,

Regarding the special things to pack for your trip, I would advise to but a converter for electricity plugs as in Europe these are completely different than in USA (you can buy these is shops with travelling equipment or if you forget it should be available on the airports in any newsagent). The rest you can easily buy in Europe.

Once visiting Italy (especially) please remember that you will need a long trousers or skirt (below your knees) and some long sleeves blouse or jumper to be able to enter any church - the rest of Europe is similar but they are very strict regarding that especially in Italy and Vatican.

Your question regarding tolerance… well… I am from Poland so I can speak only for my nation. Polish people ARE tolerant. The truth is that we are seen by the world as racists but this is not true. In smaller cities it is very hard to find non-polish however in bigger cities like Warsaw and Cracow or Wroclaw the amount of non-polish citizens is raising. This is the truth that some people could stare at you (mostly older people or little kids who never seen a black person before) however this doesn’t mean that they are racist or intolerant - they are just curious and looking at someone else is NOT considered rude as it is in UK. We just have different culture :) What I can guarantee you is that once they look at you and you would look back they would feel ashamed and turn their eyes away from you and if you were going o visit any pub or bar they would be all around you trying to meet you and make friends - we are very curious nation with a lot of hospitality.

I will tell you my story to show you how friendly we are… my husband is African black and when we were visiting Poland we decided to take a walk. I haven't seen that some of bad and dangerous guys are approaching us (from a certain tattoos I could see that these were released from prison and at the time they came to us they were drunk). I got scared because I wasn’t sure what they would do… and guess what? They didn’t want to let us go as they were explaining to my husband that they do love black people and that all that mystery and gossips are not true including calling my hubby "our black brother" hugging him and inviting for a party.

The reason why we are told to be rasist or so is that we just don’t have many black people living in Poland. The reasons are various: we never had colonies in Africa (like for example France) so we have no migration from there, we are quite poor country so all immigrants prefer to choose UK or France, our language is one of a kind and difficult to learn so that would be much more complicated to adjust yourself and learn (as many African countries speak English of French - historical reasons) and finally we have been under communism for 50 years and nobody wanted even to step into Poland - we are still recovering from that.

I wish you all the best and I hope you will enjoy your trip!

Answer on I need "why" questions for Italy, can someone help me?

Why do the Italians wear a blue football shirt when they don't have blue in their national flag?

Why was the Colosseum built?

Why Did Mount Vesuvius erupt?

Why does Italy form a new coalition government almost every year?

Why is Italy so weak compared to their predecessors, the Roman Empire?

Why were greek vases and temples found in Italy and not Greece?

why is the industrial triangle in Italy such a popular location for industry?

Why was Italy supporting Germany?

Why did italy change sides in WWII?

why did Italy become a republic?

Why does Italy have so many different police forces?

Why does Italy have a low crime rate if they have mafias?

Why does Italy not participate in Eurovision?

why was Italy separated into city states during the Italian Renaissance?

Why does Italy not send back Tunisian refugees?

Will i have to repeat gr11 because im going to italy for an exchange student?

Next year ill be in grade 11. My exchange student program will go for a year, ill be staying in Italy. When i get back will i have to repeat gr11 or will my Italian school marks get transfered to Australia? Grade 11 and 12 and the two years in which our OP are being assessed and its very crucial, And information on Italian schools would be greatly appreciated!

Answer on Will i have to repeat gr11 because im going to italy for an exchange student?

Talk to your counselor and your program because not all credits will transfer. Some countries it's harder to transfer credits from and it is different with every program and even every abroad school. It's different for every program/person so you should talk with those people about this before hand.

Zidane or Materazzi? Perpetrator or victim?

Materazzi dirty?

How about Zidane? 14 red cards in 17 seasons- including A 5 GAME SUSPENSION FOR AN EARLIER HEADBUTT

the case of Italy forward Francesco Totti, who was banned for three games for spitting at Denmark's Christian Poulsen during the 2004 European Championship.

Christian Poulsen said something to Totti but did anyone care? No. You can not justify someone spitting or HEAD BUTTing because of what someone said. Do you understand how much trash talk is on the pitch? Italians did not stand up for Totti's stupid actions but you have French standing up for Zidanes stupid actions why?

"Totti was banned for four games, which was reduced to three, and nothing happened to Poulsen -- this is absolutely a similar case," Vigorelli said. "If they want to attack a player for what he keeps saying on the pitch, they will be very busy in the future because it's quite normal that players shout to each other in a game -- especially when it's such a stressful game."

Answer on Zidane or Materazzi? Perpetrator or victim?

I think the whole Zidane-Materazzi affair has been blown out of proportion because it happened during a World Cup final, with billions of people viewing it all over the world. Plus, Zidane is an internationally known champion and a football legend, like Pele or Maradona. Nobody knew Materazzi before the incident.

Fewer people follow the Euro Cup, and Totti isn't known worldwide as Zidane is.

But you are right. When Totti spit, Italians were ashamed of him, and didn't stand up for his stupid action. They didn't ask Uefa to investigate, prosecute the Danish player for what he could have told Totti, or hire lawyers so that the game could be replayed. Totti spit and he was wrong. That's unacceptable on the pitch.

What Zidane did was even more serious because he headbutted another player, he didn't just spit at him. That's physical aggression and it's totally unacceptable on the pitch. If I was French, I would be ashamed of Zidane, just like I was ashamed of Totti, or even more.

But the price at stake was the Wolrd Championship, and a whole nation is deluding herself that the trophy would be in Paris now, hadn't Materazzi trash talked Zidane and hadn't Zidane headbutted him.

Wait... saying a whole nation would be wrong. Some French people are truly ashamed of what Zidane did, they accept that they lost and if they are mad at someone, they are mad at Trezeguet for missing that penalty. However, the press and the President stood up for Zidane, so that's the impression that the whole world got.

I don't want to get political now, but really, I don't know who is a bigger idiot... Bush or Chirac? They make a good pair! ;-)

Where to stay in Liguria Italy?

Hi we are planning a summer trip to Europe and are thinking of staying somewhere in the Italian Riviera. However we are not sure which city will be best for us.

younger married couple - no kids

need to work - so need solid internet access

want authenticity but don't want to be in a village somewhere inland

would like city life as well as the beach etc..

we will have about 6-7 weeks there

any suggestions? and also give the best and worst of each place that you suggest

thank you so much!!

Answer on Where to stay in Liguria Italy?

Truly I don't really like the Liguria, the sea is not as good as people think.

If I can give you a suggest I would advice you to go to Viareggio or Pisa, the sea is very beautiful ,there is the city, and also you are very close to beautiful cities like Florence and Siena, and little medieval towns like San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni ,Montalicino, San Galgano (where there is the real sword in the stone!) and many other wonderful places, like the island of Elba.

In this places you can't be bored!

Or the sea is very beautiful in Sardinia, especially in Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo, but both places are very exclusive and expensive!

About the internet access you can find it in almost all Hotel.

I wish you a happy holiday!
